Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty Helps Provide 57,000 Meals to Food insecure families in NH, MA, and ME through Company-Wide Food Drive
Londonderry, NH - October 5, 2020 - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty hosted its 4th annual VeraniCARES Food Drive during the month of August to help local food banks support families who are struggling, especially due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the generosity of its agents, staff, and clients, Verani Realty was able to far surpass its food drive goal while also helping raise awareness for the New Hampshire Food Bank, the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, and the Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine.
Verani Realty’s offices focused on the food banks’ most needed items –– peanut butter, canned tuna, canned chicken, and low sodium canned soups and stews. Through the month of August, Verani Realty was able to raise and donate $26,400 along with over 2,100 pounds of food. In total, the food and monetary contributions will help provide over 57,000 meals to food insecure families throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. Giovanni Verani, president of Verani Realty said, “In these uncertain times, it’s good to remember to give thanks for what we have, and give back to those in need.”
Verani Realty has always had a commitment and dedication to helping better the community. In late 2015 VeraniCARES was established and it has quickly become a big part of the company’s identity. Since inception, VeraniCARES has donated over $275,000 to more than 50 local organizations. Agents and staff alike give their time and energy by participating in the many VeraniCARES volunteering and fundraising events which take place throughout the year. Many Verani Realty agents also donate a portion of their commission to VeraniCARES which is matched by the company.
