VeraniCARES Shares the Warmth with Annual Winter Coat Drive

Londonderry, NH - January 14, 2021 Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty hosted its annual VeraniCARES Winter Coat Drive during the month of December to help share the warmth by providing winter outerwear to families in need. Donations collected from the Verani Realty offices in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine were distributed to local organizations serving communities throughout the region.

Agents and staff members donated trunk loads to Family Promise in Nashua, NH and to Isaiah 61 Cafe in Laconia, NH. Family Promise is a transitional housing program serving families who are temporarily experiencing homelessness within the Nashua community. Through safe housing and education, Family Promise guides families from homelessness to sustainable independence. Isaiah 61 Cafe also serves the needy and homeless by providing food and necessities. 

Coats, hats, scarves and gloves collected by the Bedford office were donated to Liberty House, a nonprofit organization providing support to more than 300 formerly homeless veterans. Verani Realty agents in Maine also distributed items to Open Hands, Open Hearts, an organization in Saco, ME providing clothing for needy children in York County. 

Verani Realty has always had a commitment and dedication to helping better the community. In late 2015 VeraniCARES was established and it has quickly become a big part of the company’s identity. Since inception, VeraniCARES has donated over $275,000 to more than 50 local organizations. Agents and staff alike give their time and energy by participating in the many VeraniCARES volunteering and fundraising events which take place throughout the year. Many Verani Realty agents also donate a portion of their commission to VeraniCARES which is matched by the company.
