Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty Donates to NH Food Bank

Manchester, NH - October 11, 2019 - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty hosted its third annual VeraniCARES Food Drive during the month of September. Each Verani Realty office focused on one of the most needed food items, which included peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, soup, pasta and sauce, rice, canned tuna, and dried beans. With the help of agents, staff, and clients, 3,066 lbs of non-perishable food was collected, and $17,500 was donated to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank. In total, the food and monetary contributions will feed nearly 40,000 people throughout New Hampshire! 

The New Hampshire Food Bank’s mission is “to feed hungry people by soliciting and effectively distributing grocery products and perishable foods, and offering innovative programs through a statewide network of approved agencies; by advocating for systemic change; and by educating the public about the nature of, and solutions to, problems of hunger in New Hampshire.” The NH Food Bank partners with over 400 agencies, including food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children’s programs, senior centers and more. Contributing to this organization ensures the fight against hunger in New Hampshire is being addressed, and making sure those suffering from food insecurity have access to meals. 

Verani Realty has always had a commitment and dedication to help better the community. In late 2015 VeraniCARES was established and it has quickly become a big part of the company’s identity. Since inception, VeraniCARES has donated over $250,000 to more than 50 local organizations. Agents and staff alike give their time and energy by participating in the many VeraniCARES volunteering and fundraising events which take place all throughout the year.
