Verani Realty’s Seacoast Agents Go Sippin’ for Seals
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty’s Seacoast agents spent a night dining and dancing by the ocean at the Seacoast Science Center’s annual Sippin’ for Seals fundraiser on Thursday, June 15. The event raised a record-breaking $65,000 in support of Seacoast Science Center’s Marine Mammal Rescue Program, which staffs a rescue team hotline and responds to reports of live and deceased seals, whales, porpoises and dolphins on the shores of New Hampshire’s coastal region.
Sippin’ for Seals is a cause close to the Seacoast office’s hearts - and Jim Brown, who is an agent based in Verani’s Portsmouth office, serves as a member of the Center’s Board of Directors.
“Verani agents have showcased how much they care about this cause,” said Brown. “The Seacoast Science Center is a non-profit, that relies on the generosity of others to support its operations and its mission, and it benefited immensely from our agent turnout. At the event, we were global citizens helping to make a difference – it was a great night.”
“The Seacoast is a beautiful place to live, and part that natural beauty is the wildlife that visits our shores,” said Cindy Winthrop, Regional Manager of Verani’s Seacoast offices in Exeter and Portsmouth. “Sippin’ for Seals is an event we look forward to supporting so we can help preserve what makes our region unique, and it’s a great time for a great cause.”
The Seacoast Science Center is a nonprofit that provides educational experiences at Odiorne State Park of behalf of New Hampshire State Parks.
