Steve White and Maggie Kerkhoff Complete New Hampshire Association of REALTORs’ Leadership Academy

Verani Realty Regional Manager Maggie Kerkhoff and agent Steve White recently graduated from the New Hampshire Association of REALTORs (NHAR) Leadership Academy, an intensive one-year program designed to enhance the skills of members considering volunteer leadership positions within the association. Kerkhoff and White, along with their fellow graduates, were recognized during NHAR’s installation ceremony at the Sheraton Harborside in Portsmouth for its incoming President, Gerry O’Connell.

During the Leadership Academy, participants learn from a variety of specialists in different fields, including communications, conflict management, government affairs and leadership development. The Leadership Academy is facilitated by Roger Turcotte of Hopkinton, a National Association of REALTORs-certified facilitator who has coordinated leadership training throughout the country for nearly 20 years. The goal of the program is to train and prepare agents for leadership roles and enhance the quality of leadership in NHAR.

"Better preparing our leadership helps ‘raise the bar’ in our profession, and is a responsibility NHAR has embraced with the assistance of Roger Turcotte and our Leadership Academy,” said White.

White has been with Verani Realty since 1994 and is a director for the Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of REALTORs (GMNBR). He also chairs GMNBR’s Community Service Committee and serves on their Education and Professional Standards Committees. He is a member of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ prestigious Chairman's Circle, which recognizes top performers in the network, and was the 2013 New Hampshire State REALTOR of the Year.  White serves on the Advisory Board of the Manchester Salvation Army and as a director for the New Hampshire Board of REALTORs. He lives on Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham, where he helps manage his family's cottage rental business. 

Kerkhoff is the regional manager for Verani Realty’s Londonderry office, where she works to increase profitability and productivity, hires and trains agents, and manages office marketing. She has over 14 years of experience in the real estate industry and is GMNBR’s 2017 REALTOR of the Year. Her past achievements include Manager of the Year, and she was consistently ranked as a top producing sales agent. Kerkhoff has a law degree from Suffolk University Law School and a bachelor’s degree in Government and a concentration in Mathematics from Wheaton College. She is a certified negotiation specialist, relocation certified, an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), and is licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Kerkhoff lives in Northwood.
