Michele Engel Named 2017 LRBR REALTOR® of the Year

Michele Engel of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty has been named the 2017 Lakes Region Board of REALTORs (LRBR) REALTOR® of the Year. Engel was given the award during the Board’s June meeting at Church Landing at Mill Falls in Meredith.

“I am honored to accept this award,” said Engel. “It has been a pleasure working with my fellow REALTORS® in the Lakes Region for the past 20 years.”

The REALTOR® of the Year is the highest award given by the LRBR to one of their membership. It is based on a combination of business accomplishments; local board, state association, and NAR activity; spirit; and civic activity.

Engel has over 20 years of real estate experience and specializes in waterfront homes, bank-owned properties, and relocation. She has been highly active in the LRBR. Currently, she is the LRBR’s Education Committee chairperson, where she developed a training program for new agents who join the Board; Scholarship Committee chairperson, where 12 scholarships of $1,500 are awarded by the Board annually; a member of the Professional Standards Committee; and an alternate director for the New England Real Estate Network (NEREN), representing the LRBR. She also was president of the LRBR in 2009, a 12 year member of the National Honor Society, and this is her second time receiving their Realtor of the Year award. The first time she received the award was in 2010. Engel holds designations from ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), and GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), and has received multiple awards from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.

Born and raised in Tilton, Engel is a native of the Lakes Region. She graduated from Winnisquam Regional High and attended the University of New Hampshire, graduating with a Civil and Environmental Engineering degree.

The Lakes Region Board of REALTORS® (LRBR) was organized in 1965 to support area REALTORS® and is located in Laconia. Its mission is to service its membership by providing programs and services that enhance members’ ability to successfully conduct their business and promote a professional image.
