“Welcome to my backyard!” Lee Ann O'Hara openly proclaims at the Intervale Scenic Vista, as though ushering visitors through the door of her home. The passing clouds are settling snow high atop the beacon adorned Mt. Washington in the distance, while hillside homes cut the foliage and gently puff their chimneys over the landscape. She shares that she often integrates an element of “guided tours” with her house showings in the area—because images like this are “inherit to the area—and who doesn't appreciate a mountainscape”?

O'Hara is a typical New England paradox. In the same breath, she will shudder at discussion of a snow storm—but would be the first to enjoy the fresh powder on the slopes the very next day. In the summer while the temperature is climbing the scale, she'll talk about how unbearable the heat and the sun are—but refuses to run the AC and spends July through August hidden beneath a layer of SPF 75 to protect her alabaster Irish complexion.

O'Hara grew up with a 'wicked sense of humor' that, she claims, was inherited from her father. She is the oldest of five children from a small country town in western Massachusetts—where donkey basketball and cow-flop days were cause for town-wide celebrations. This close knit community was big on values and high for morals. Being from a small town, it was easy to participate and be a part of it all—including basketball, softball, art classes, Girl Scouts, piano lessons, and riding horses at the local stable. By the late '90's her family outgrew their childhood waterfront house and found their new home in Hampstead, NH where she and her 5 siblings attended then graduated from Pinkerton Academy, in Derry, NH. She went onto UNH for 6 years with focuses on various studies, including the sciences, before ultimately shifting over to the liberal arts program to study French, journalism, and English.

UNH provided quite the opportunity to develop her wanderlust—and O'Hara obtained her Commercial Driver's License before she was 20 years old. Driving transit for the NH Seacoast Region and private charters paved the way for her to boldly explore and meet new people—learning first about the surrounding community, before moonlighting trips between classes to Boston, New York City, Washington DC, and points due north and west. She can still navigate these roads blind-folded and “loves the challenge of effectively adapting to unforeseen obstacles in [her] travels”.

While piloting a more than 45 foot long coach bus through various city traffic patterns may have given her the patience of a saint, O'Hara was not without personal skill development or hobbies. She acquired her motorcycle license and has been a motorcyclist for several years, having run through a couple of Harley Davidson's in the process. She even worked at one of NH's premiere HD dealerships before shifting her focus to an opportunity in the building supply industry. She spent several years working with area contractors in supplying them products, both residential and commercial, interior and exterior, and keeping up with industry trends, products, and technologies.

Semi-retired from transportation—O'Hara still possesses a pioneering sense of ingenuity while maintaining a calm and methodical demeanor in her real estate practice. She finds it imperative to communicate regularly and accurately with her customer base and maintains the relationships she forms with her clients long after the deed has been recorded. She has seamlessly guided a variety of real estate situations with great persistence, respect, and expertise. She has committed herself to Verani Realty, formerly as Prudential, then as their conversion to Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in early 2014, and continues to flourish with her most recent transition from their Londonderry location to their Moultonborough office. She looks forward to continuing to serve the mountains and lakes communities of New Hampshire from her new office home.

At the end of the day, she “heads for the hills” of Madison, where she hangs her hat with the comfort of her family in their “gingerbread house”—a hillside Swiss Chalet, that indeed, is reminiscent of a cookie structure. She can be found walking their two boxers; on the water fishing, ice skating, or kayaking; chasing their kids; baking for the family; or working on their latest project. This year marked the addition of a '68 Ford F100 to their list of projects, currently disguised as a '79 F150 Custom, while the 1982 BMW e21 remains the next in line to be deemed “roadworthy” for the upcoming summer.

“LeeAnn came highly recommended to me as a person who could help my aging mother sell her life-time home. LeeAnn offered solutions such as recommending estate auctions, repair contractors, and home organizers to help prepare the home for market. I feel that LeeAnn cares as much about my mother’s wellbeing as I do, and that she went above and beyond her duties as an agent to achieve this. She is the most compassionate real estate agent I have ever encountered!”
