I decided to practice Real Estate after two experiences……. distinctly different experiences….. an absolutely miserable one selling my own house in contrast to selling my childhood home. My FIRST agent never exercised her responsibilities to me as her client. From start to finish I was left in the dark: follow up calls were never made, commitments were not kept, open houses were cancelled and never rescheduled, showings were requested with 10 minutes notice to get myself and my three dogs out of the house. I left my closing and sat in the parking lot in tears while MY agent stayed behind with the buyer (who was also in Real Estate) chatting.
The SECOND experience was with a competent, professional and caring agent. He walked me through any and all processes that I needed/wanted to understand. He kept me updated on all activity regarding the property. He understood the emotions involved selling my childhood home and moving parents and he handled the situation with empathy and sensitivity. He took his responsibilities to me as his client to heart and I could feel that from our first meeting and I trusted him.
I am committed to being that SECOND agent. As the Director of Auditing for the Office of Campaign and Political Finance in Boston for 25 years I became skilled at taking a complicated subject matter and breaking it down to small components so that even the most novice candidate and their campaign staff could feel in control, comfortable with the process and satisfied with the outcome. I will practice those same skills with my Verani Realty clients from our first meeting to the closing.Realizing that buying or selling a home can be a “daunting” experience, I look forward to using my ability to guide and advise my clients in a manner that fosters confidence and trust.
After selling my own renovated home and my childhood home, I realize the deep emotional attachments that can be entwined with the process and will honor those feelings. I also understand that some buyer’s top priority is 3 bedrooms and a state of the art kitchen and someone else may start backing out of the driveway before even entering the home because the back yard is not big enough for their dogs (ME!)
My goal is to make your transition from an existing home as seamless as possible and that transition into your new dream home feel exactly that “A DREAM COME TRUE”!
