Ask Steve Mardis

Steve made selling our vacation home a great experience ... he's the best.

- Trustee D

Went the extra mile - even so far as arranging to remove a few items on the property that the buyer objected to at the 11th hour!

- Mark M

We met Steve through an ad he mailed earlier in the year to people that own slips at Quayside . When we decided to sell a few months later I thought he would be a good choice as he also owns a slip there. Boy, am I glad I did! He seamlessly guided us through the whole process and we ended up selling for much more than I had anticipated and in 4 days! He obviously is a seasoned professional. When talking with him he was always confident, knowledgeable and always returned my calls and texts immediately. The closing went perfectly with no problems. Steve is certainly an asset to your company!

Dear Mr. Mardis:

Our office would like to take this time to thank you for doing such a fin job with handling the sale on waterfront property located at Iroquois Lane in Moultonboro. Property in New Hampshire is difficult to sell lately because of the depressed market, but your extra efforts to get buyers certainly paid off. The buyers are happy with their new home and the Marshals Service is also pleased with the end results. Again, thank you for all your hard work and we look forward to doing business with you in the near future.

- Stephen J. Shurtleff

Dear Steve,

Here it is July and I haven't yet written to tell you of my appreciation of your services that led to the sale of our property on Lake Winnipesaukee. This was a big, beautiful parcel with 800 fee of water frontage and 31 contiguous acres to that waterfront. In all, a gorgeous hunk of natural sand beach, 40' rock cribbed dock with breakwater and views of Governors Island.

While this is a perfect lot for continuation as a family compound, or divided into high end residential development, it meant that the sales price would be at the top of the market. Your expertise, along with that of your associates, recommended a price that we agreed upon, and your team was able to bring it to closure within approximately four months. Not bad for a still 'iffy' market (after five years), and a discouraging selling season (winter/early spring).

I was impressed with your industry and professionalism. I also detected a fair amount of entrepreneur-ism as to the highest and best use, as well as creative approaches to various hurdles we all had to surmount. But prevail we did!

Your dogged attention to detail, availability around the clock, fastidious attention to due diligence, damage control and of course 'Murphy's Law' was impressive. I especially liked your competitive nature when your team won the award for marketing the property and your determination to show 'other' brokers that the price was real and attainable. Your took responsibility!

I also have to say that your winning interview to be the agent of your choice (against formidable colleagues) was after your well prepared knowledge of the lake and its values; but also your considerable charm.

Continued success!

- Stephen Camann

I am pleased to be able to write this letter of recommendation for Steve Mardis. Last year, my wife was able to sell our waterfront property at 3 Shorewood Lane at a very favorable price through the efforts made by Steve and his associates. On a trip that my family took last summer, we were very surprised to find, on the first morning after our arrival, a facsimile transmission which contained an offer, which later led to the sale of the piece of property. Steve has been very informative, responsive to our needs, and has shown me that following through to the end of the transaction is top priority. In my business, I have dealt with realtors throughout the State of New Hampshire, and can tell you that Steve Mardis certainly ranks with those at the top of my list for integrity, honesty and loyalty to his client.

Steve makes it a point to understand the product that he has to sell and realistically involves the owner in that process.

It is my pleasure to recommend him as a realtor for the listing or sale of real estate in New Hampshire.
